The Los Alamos Nature Center, an award-winning facility run by the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), connects the community to nature through diverse indoor and outdoor exhibits and programs. Built with community-approved Capital Improvement Project funds in 2012 and opened on Earth Day in 2015, this center has since drawn visitors from near and far. Features include a full-dome planetarium, wildlife observation room, and engaging play areas, serving around 40,000 visitors annually with educational programs, outdoor activities, and breathtaking views of Northern New Mexico's landscapes.
