Join us for "Hot August Birding with FBC ABQ-SF" on Sunday, August 9th, hosted by the Feminist Bird Club Albuquerque-Santa Fe and PEEC. Beat the heat at a higher elevation in Los Alamos while enjoying a birdwatching adventure along the scenic canyons. Participants will meet outside the Los Alamos Nature Center at 7:00 AM before heading to the Canyon Rim Trail, which features a mix of paved paths and optional short sections with moderate uphill portions. The outing is expected to conclude by 10:00 AM. This inclusive event welcomes birders of all identities, ages, and abilities, particularly aiming to create a safe space for queer and BIPOC individuals. Admission is free.
