Samuel S. Lewis State Park is an 85-acre park located in York County, Pennsylvania, named in honor of Samuel S. Lewis, a former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Waters. The park's primary feature is Mount Pisgah, an 885-foot ridge offering panoramic views of the Susquehanna River Valley. It provides various recreational activities including hiking on trails of different difficulty levels, picnicking with available tables and reservable pavilions, kite flying on open hillsides, and sightseeing from scenic overlooks. The park also includes amenities such as grills, playground equipment, restrooms, and parking. Historically, the park originated from a 35-acre donation by Samuel S. Lewis and has since expanded through land acquisitions. It is open year-round, with day-use areas accessible from sunrise to sunset.
