Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1916, is the oldest wildlife sanctuary of Mass Audubon. It spans nearly 2,000 acres of protected forests, fields, and wetlands in Sharon, Massachusetts. The sanctuary offers diverse hiking trails, a red maple swamp boardwalk, and a nature center with rotating exhibits. It provides numerous opportunities for exploration and education, including seasonal programs, a summer day camp for children aged 3-14, and various clubs and programs for adults, such as maple sugaring demonstrations. Over 160 species of birds have been observed on the property, making it a significant site for birdwatching. Moose Hill is dedicated to protecting nature for people and wildlife through conservation, education, and advocacy, welcoming over half a million visitors annually to its sanctuaries and nature centers.
