The San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) is dedicated to bringing people together with art by collecting, preserving, and presenting significant works from diverse histories and cultures. Its mission is to advance human connection and understanding, while inspiring curiosity, creativity, and discovery. SAMA houses one of the most comprehensive collections of Latin American art in the United States, alongside significant holdings of ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art, as well as Asian art. The museum also features works by internationally recognized contemporary artists, including notable Texas and regional art. SAMA offers a wide range of public programs, including lectures, concerts, films, workshops, and family activities, serving over 20,000 students annually and providing approximately 580 public programs each year.
