Weir River Farm is a 75-acre working farm and nature reserve located in Hingham, Massachusetts, owned and managed by The Trustees of Reservations. Originally part of the country estate of artist Polly Thayer Starr, the farm comprises fields, pastures, and woodlands, with the Weir River bordering its northwest edge. It supports diverse wildlife habitats and features an educational barnyard with animals such as sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, and rabbits. The farm offers various programs and events throughout the year, including concerts, picnics, field trips, and summer camps, aimed at fostering an appreciation for local agriculture and conservation. It also runs a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program for locally grown produce and pasture-raised meats. Weir River Farm is committed to accessibility and has been recognized as an Autism Welcoming and sensory-responsive business, offering accommodations for individuals with autism and their families. Public access includes walking trails that connect to adjacent conservation lands, with trails open daily from sunrise to sunset.
