About Where Land Meets Sea: A Coskata–Coatue Nature Tour Join our expert guides for an unforgettable over‑sand vehicle adventure through the pristine landscapes of the Coskata‑Coatue Wildlife Refuge. Explore a mosaic of rare coastal habitats, including sweeping barrier beaches, vibrant salt marshes, and dynamic marine ecosystems, and discover the fascinating plants and wildlife that call this unique place home. Along the way, you’ll learn how rising sea levels and increasingly powerful storms are reshaping this fragile coastline, and how The Trustees are working to protect and strengthen the resilience of these critical natural areas. Wildlife sightings are common, with opportunities to observe iconic coastal bird species such as ospreys, northern harriers, American oystercatchers, piping plovers, and terns.
