Theatre du Mississippi, founded in 1997 by Belgian-born Maggy Jacqmin and Will Kitchen in Winona, MN, has emerged as a vibrant cultural hub. With an international flair, Jacqmin led the company in producing original and classic theatre, alongside acclaimed musicians and performers. Focused on community engagement, the theatre staged socially conscious plays and large-scale productions, while expanding into music and film initiatives. As the oldest community theatre in Winona, it champions original works, showcases emerging playwrights, and fosters collaboration through diverse programming and inclusive access.
