Details:
Introducing the Rod & Reel Fishing & Tackle Loaner Program and Fishing Meet-Up at Presque Isle State Park, a perfect opportunity for both novice and returning anglers to engage in fishing. Through a partnership with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the American Sportfishing Association, and DCNR, visitors can borrow fishing rods, reels, and tackle boxes for free from May 1 to September 30, available on a first-come-first-served basis. A valid ID is required from at least one adult in the group, and all equipment must be returned by 3:00 PM the same day. Participants 16 and older must possess a Pennsylvania Fishing License, and additional permits may be necessary depending on specific fishing locations within the park.
In addition, the Fishing Meet-Up offers a social environment where participants can learn fishing basics, socialize, and share experiences. Equipment and bait are provided, though participants may bring their own tackle. Registration is required for this informal gathering, and anyone under 18 must have parental supervision. Join us for a day of fishing fun, learning, and camaraderie!
