Join us for a celebratory summer at Presque Isle State Park, featuring a range of events that highlight nature and our nation’s history. From June 1 to August 31, visit the **Presque Isle 250 Exhibit** on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, showcasing the park's significant role during America’s 250th anniversary through journals, articles, and photographs. Additionally, explore the great outdoors with **Nature Exploration Backpacks** available for checkout at the Park Office. Choose from four engaging topics: Birds, Insects, Plants/Fungi, and Rocks & Minerals, each equipped with field supplies to enhance your learning experience.
Don't miss **A Jennings Original Storybook Trail: A Firefly Fourth of July**, running from June 13 to July 6, 2026. Follow the story of Flash, a tiny Jennings firefly, as he attempts to save America's 250th birthday fireworks. This self-guided trail combines reading with outdoor exploration, perfect for children and adults alike. The trail features an easy, stroller-friendly route, although some areas may be uneven. Participation is free, and no registration is required. For more information, please contact the Center at 724-794-6011 and let us know if you need accommodations for any park activities.
