Sit + Sketch

Sit Sketch with Martha Ferguson T​hursday, July 16 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Join us for a relaxed and inspiring ​evening of sketching at the​ Lightner Museum with local artist Martha Ferguson . This workshop will take place in the Lightner Museum’s Ballroom Gallery. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply looking to slow down and observe, this is a great opportunity to connect with art through sketching in a welcoming, creative environment. The workshop will begin with a short demonstration and artist talk. Following the demo​nstration, artists will be invited to sketch freely throughout the gallery. Martha will visit with each artist to assist and answer questions about their work. $15 per person | $5 Lightner Museum Members Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Register Here ​ Seating will be provided. Artists must bring their own supplies. Suggested materials include graphite pencils, colored pencils​, fine tip pens, a hard sketchpad or a travel easel. Please note that paint, pastels, or other wet media are not permitted in the galleries. More information about suggested supplies is available here. Light refreshments will be provided to enjoy while artists take a break. Only water in a closed container will be permitted into the galleries.
