Pocono Heritage Land Trust owns 13 Nature Preserves in Monroe County, all of which are open to the public dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. Our preserves offer a variety of trail networks, streams, natural beauty, and a history of preservation in the Poconos. How it works: PHLT cooperates with willing landowners and local government to preserve land with special scenic, recreational or environmental value. In some cases, PHLT acquires ownership of the land through donation or purchase. In others, it acquires the development rights through voluntary legal agreements. In all cases, the trust accepts responsibility for managing and protecting the land in perpetuity. PHLT has protected over 4000 acres in Monroe County - and counting! Help us Preserve the Poconos.
