Innisfree Garden is a 150-acre public garden in Millbrook, New York, renowned for its Chinese-inspired landscape art. Originally established as a private garden by Walter and Marion Beck between 1930 and 1960, it was later opened to the public in 1960 under the guidance of landscape architect Lester Collins. The garden features a 40-acre glacial lake surrounded by plants, rocks, waterfalls, and terraces, designed to evoke a sense of wonder and peace. It blends Chinese, Japanese, Modern, and ecological design principles, creating a unique stroll garden experience. Innisfree Garden is recognized as one of the "world's 10 best gardens" and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
