Cal Poly Arts

Today, Cal Poly Arts presents the highest quality and most extensive range of regional, national and international touring shows and artists on the Central Coast. Cal Poly Arts was formed in 1985 as a small classical music presenter. By 1988, the presenting series was expanded to include theatre, dance, and jazz events; by 1990, Cal Poly Arts had integrated world music/dance, folk/traditional music, and family programming into the series. Cal Poly Arts spearheaded the drive to build a new venue and in 1996, the Performing Arts Center opened and the organization again expanded the scope of its programming by including speakers, comics, pop/country music acts, and the impressive Broadway touring show series.
