Details:
As one of today’s premier theatre organists, Christian Elliott is classically trained and specializes in historically authentic silent film accompaniment. Buster Keaton’s "The General" (1926) is widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made—a breathtaking comedy-action epic inspired by the real Great Locomotive Chase of the Civil War. Keaton performed every stunt himself, culminating in the most expensive single shot in silent film history: a real steam locomotive crashing into a burning river bridge. One hundred years later, it remains as thrilling as ever—and there’s no better way to experience it than with live organ accompaniment.
