Emmy Award-winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough began dancing at age 11 and trained at London’s prestigious Italia Conti performing arts school. A four-time Emmy winner and 13-time nominee, he holds the record for most choreography nominations in Television Academy history and has appeared in film, television, and stage productions, including Make Your Move, Nashville, High School Musical: The Musical, Footloose in London’s West End, and NBC’s Hairspray Live!. Hough is a six-time champion and current judge on Dancing with the Stars, served as a judge on NBC’s World of Dance, and has headlined multiple national tours and his Las Vegas residency Derek Hough: No Limit. He is also the author of the best-selling memoir Taking the Lead: Lessons from a Life in Motion.
