Goodsell Ridge Preserve is an 85-acre natural area in Isle La Motte, Vermont, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the Chazy Fossil Reef, which dates back 480 million years. The preserve offers year-round free access to visitors, who can explore self-guided tours along various trails, including the "Walk Through Time Trail." These trails highlight the ancient marine ecosystem and its fossilized inhabitants. A restored dairy barn serves as a visitor center and museum, featuring fossil displays, interpretive exhibits, and educational videos about the reef's history.
