Homesteading & Woodworking Weekend at the Babbie Museum

July 18 & 19 | 10 AM – 4 PM

Step back in time and celebrate the art of rural living! Join us for a weekend of hands‑on demonstrations and family fun. Try your hand at buttermaking, watch skilled chainsaw demonstrations, and observe our sawmill in action from 10:30 AM – 12 PM and again from 1 PM – 3 PM both days. Volunteers will also be running the shingle mill, while our blacksmiths forge iron in the museum’s working blacksmith shop.
Meet our friendly farm animals, ride Thomas the Train, the Stagecoach, and the antique Fire Truck. Explore our new one‑room schoolhouse and exciting playground.
Saturday only: Enjoy Valcour Brewing’s signature craft beers from 11 AM – 3 PM while you take in the sights and sounds of the homestead.
Bring your family and friends for a weekend of heritage, craftsmanship, and community spirit at the Babbie Rural & Farm Learning Museum.
