Join us at the Homestead as we explore the world of moths! These nocturnal pollinators are important to many ecosystems. We will have a brief introduction to what moths are and their biology, then go on a hike where we will lure different species for our viewing.
Our Speaker:
Freya Berntson is currently the Natural Resources Manager at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. She has over 10 years of experience in ecological restoration and nature-related educational programming. In recent years, she has developed a love for identifying and viewing moths while getting others engaged in their beauty.'
Registration is required for all attendees. Limit 25.
$5 per adult, children get in free.
Waterproof boots available to borrow at a first come, first served basis.
Please note that we will be walking through rustic, uneven, and very swampy terrain. Knee-high waterproof boots are recommended.
