Details:
Come join the Issaquah Alps Trails Club and Green Issaquah in maintaining Issaquah’s first Miyawaki Forest! Last year, we planted 880 trees and shrubs in our Miyawaki pocket forest. This March, we celebrated the forest’s one-year anniversary. Join us as we do a bit of routine weeding, mulching, and watering to keep our pocket forest strong and healthy. This maintenance event is part of our ongoing efforts to help meet the Issaquah Climate Action Plan goal of 55% tree canopy cover by 2035. You can learn more about the IATC’s work with the Miyawaki Forest here.
