Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Midland/Ector educates Texans for self-improvement, individual action, and community problem-solving. As a statewide educational agency within the Texas A&M University system, it partners with nationwide cooperative extension systems and Texas county governments to serve all 254 counties. The service offers educational programs in family and community health, agricultural and natural resources, youth development, urban horticulture, and community development. Their mission is to make Texas better by providing innovative solutions at the intersection of agriculture, natural resources, youth, and health, thereby improving the well-being of individuals, families, businesses, and communities through education and service. They focus on areas such as mitigating drought impacts, conserving water, improving emergency management, enhancing food security, and protecting human health through education on diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
