Morrison County United Way (MCUW) is partnering with Stearns Bank’s Upsala Branch location to offer a financial literacy class through the United for ALICE program. Money Smart for Older Adults is a financial literacy program offered by Stearns Bank. This program raises awareness among older adults and their caregivers on how to prevent fraud, scams, and other elder financial exploitations. The course is being offered at no charge. It will cover topics like avoiding Telephone, Computer-Internet and Charity Scams, Common Types of Elder Financial Exploitation, Identity Theft and Medical Identity Theft, Investment Fraud, Planning for Unexpected Life Events, and more. The course will be provided for free and lunch will be provided. Space is limited so you must register in order to attend. The class will be offered at the Carnegie Library (Little Falls Great River Regional Library branch location) on Tuesday, August 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Register Today. Space is Limited.
