Mississippi Film Alliance Talk at 2:30PM | Open to Anyone!

Hollow Tree Creative Writing Workshop at 3:30PM | Open to Anyone!
Join us for a creative writing workshop with the director of Hollow Tree, Kira Akerman, before the screening. It aims to develop participants’ imagination for intergenerational thinking as modeled by the three protagonists in the film, and to apply it to their understanding of their own homeplaces. The workshop culminates with participants attaching their creative writing to a map — expanding their conception of time, interconnectedness, and possibility for action. *Limited to 20 students + their families
