The Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) is a nationally accredited art museum located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Founded in 1991, WAMA is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the work of artist-philosopher Walter Anderson, as well as honoring his brothers, Peter and James McConnell Anderson. The museum's mission is to empower lifelong curiosity and connection to the natural world through the art of Walter Anderson and kindred artists. WAMA's collection includes paintings, drawings, murals, block prints, sculpture, and writings by Walter Anderson, alongside works by his brothers, who were also accomplished artists. The museum also hosts diverse changing exhibitions featuring other significant artists.
