Kish Kid Explorers: Wet & Wild

It’s time to get Wet & Wild with the Kish Kid Explorers!
Join us as we head into the creek to discover the hidden world of freshwater habitats. We’ll search for aquatic insects and tiny creek critters, collect creek samples, meet freshwater invertebrates, and uncover what lives beneath the surface.
From dragonfly nymphs and snails to the mysterious leech, this hands-on program encourages kids and families to investigate wetlands through curiosity, observation, and adventure. Along the way, we’ll talk about how these creatures survive, why wetlands matter, and whether all leeches really are bloodsuckers.
Be prepared to get a little muddy and a little wet as we investigate one of nature’s most fascinating ecosystems!
Water shoes or creek-safe footwear are recommended.
-Returning explorers will have an opportunity to dive deeper into who the creek residents are.
This class will meet at the main entrance of KNC on highway 67.
