The journey of the Fullerton Museum Center began over a century ago at the Gem Pharmacy, run by Mr. and Mrs. William Starbuck. Their vision sparked the first Traveling Circulating Library thanks to local donations. As Fullerton expanded, in 1904, Mayor C.C. Chapman initiated plans for a city library, leading to the Carnegie Library's opening in 1907. By 1941, the WPA Library emerged to meet growing needs. In 1974, Muse 9 opened in the former library, later becoming the Fullerton Museum Center after renovations. Today, the FMC excels in diverse exhibitions and educational programs, fostering community engagement and creative dialogue.
