Part of the Birds in Your Backyard, Birds in Your City: An Ornithological Summer Series with St. Louis Public Library. Take your newly acquired skills out into the field with a guided bird walk! Registrants will first meet their MDC guides at the Howard Wood Urban Outreach Office* (4640 Shenandoah Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110) . The journey to Tower Grove Park begins with a walk through the Shaw neighborhood, calibrating your visual and auditory senses while engaging with local, everyday bird species. Crossing into the park boundaries, we enter the Robert and Martha Gaddy Wild Bird Garden, established between 1990 and 1992, where the forest fun continues. This two-mile walk is perfect for birders of all levels. A light breakfast, binoculars and field guides will be provided.
