The Mower County Historical Society is dedicated to discovering, collecting, preserving, and sharing the history of Mower County, Minnesota. It houses a collection of over 35,000 items, including objects, photographs, and archival materials, across numerous buildings at the Mower County Fairgrounds. The society also maintains an extensive research library for local history and genealogy. Exhibits feature historical artifacts, including a steam locomotive, telephone museum, and displays on local industries and life. The organization offers tours and educational programs, such as the Lunchbox History Series, to engage the public with the county's past.
