Ohio University is hosting its Young Adult Book Club, which meets Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM in the Zanesville Campus Library Study Room E. Open to all YA literature enthusiasts, participants read approximately 100 pages each week, making it convenient for those with busy schedules. Books are provided by the Muskingum County Library System and can be picked up at meetings. The club is a collaborative effort involving Ohio University - Zanesville, Zane State College, and the Muskingum County Library System, inviting students, faculty, staff, and community members to join. Upcoming readings include "Murder on the Orient Express" starting in May 2026 and "Lore" in June 2026.
Additionally, Ohio University's Transportation & Parking Services has announced several upcoming construction-related parking lot closures. Starting on August 4, 2025, portions of Parking Lots 40 and 41 (Lower Seigfred) as well as Parking Lot 44 (Patton Hall) will close at 5:00 AM, with re-openings planned for late 2026. Furthermore, Parking Lot 132 at Peden Stadium will partially close at 10:00 AM on May 10, 2026, and is expected to re-open in August 2026. Vehicles left in these areas during closure times are subject to citation and relocation at the owner's expense.
