Details:
The Green STEM Camp, an educational summer program for children and youth, will take place at the Jefferson Library, specifically in room 179 of Jefferson Hall, beginning on June 2, 2026. Families can park in the Patton lot for drop-off and pick-up, with check-in occurring at the front entrance of Patton. Campers will walk to Jefferson Hall as a group, and the return will be to the back entrance of Patton on Wednesdays. Organized by The Patton College of Education's Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education, the camp focuses on environmental literacy, sustainability, and conservation, providing hands-on activities and field trips to enhance participants' understanding of environmental stewardship. Additionally, the community should note upcoming parking lot closures: partial closure of Parking Lot 132 at Peden Stadium starting May 10, 2026, with a reopening expected in August 2026, and closures of portions of Parking Lots 40, 41, and 44 beginning August 4, 2025, anticipated to reopen by the end of 2026. Vehicles left in these areas during closures may be cited or relocated at the owner's expense. Use this link to register for the camp.
