Details:
The Written Word Dyslexia Therapy Training (TWW-DTT) offers tailored courses for educators in Summer '26, including both advanced and introductory options. Participants will learn multisensory teaching strategies and mastery techniques to support students with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences. The training centers on the Orton-Gillingham-based program, Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia, developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, Texas. This evidence-based curriculum is endorsed by Scottish Rite for Children and accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC). Additionally, trainees have the opportunity to pursue certification (CALT) through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) upon completing the two-year course requirements. The program aligns with the International Dyslexia Association’s (IDA) Knowledge of Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading and offers the possibility for graduate-level credit towards a Master of Education degree in Special Education or Reading through King’s College, PA.
