Details:
Explore the snake diversity of Swatara State Park where we will spend the evening on a guided hike searching for snakes! This is the perfect opportunity to learn about snake habitat, the species we have in PA, and how to tell the difference between venomus and non-venomous snakes. This is a perfect way to introduce yourself to a commonly foeared and misunderstood creature of our ecosystem. We will meet at sand siding parking lot and walk along the trail. At no point will anyone be able to handle a snake, it is strictly visual observation. It is advised to bring comfortable walking shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, and a full waterbottle.
