Nature Story Time

Join us for an exciting summer of nature-themed events designed for all ages! Start with **Nature Story Time**, held outdoors at Sunnyside Pavilion in the Conewago Day Use area, featuring a nature story led by a representative from Red Land Library. After the story, engage in a fun nature activity related to the book; this program lasts approximately one hour.

In June, participate in **DCNR Bio Blitz 2026** as we explore and document Pennsylvania’s diverse wildlife throughout the state's parks. From June 1st to June 30th, visit participating locations, including Rothrock State Forest, and contribute to scientific research by identifying and recording various species. Use the iNaturalist App to document your findings, or submit a checklist with photos to your park's Bio Blitz coordinator.

Additionally, immerse yourself in **A Jennings Original Storybook Trail: A Firefly Fourth of July** from June 13 to July 6, 2026. Follow along the Blazing Star Trail as you read a delightful children’s story about Flash, a tiny firefly helping to save America's 250th birthday fireworks celebration. This self-guided trail activity is free and perfect for families and nature lovers.
