Details:
The 19th century gristmill is the centerpiece of McConnells Mill State Park. Beginning May 16th, the historic gristmill at McConnells Mill State Park is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM through Labor Day. Admission is free. Interpretive tours of the historic mill are scheduled at 1:00 and 2:00 PM daily, or by request. Tours for groups may be scheduled by calling the Moraine State Park office at 724 368-8811 or by emailing morainesp@pa.gov. Park at the Kildoo Picnic Area or Point Parking and hike down to the mill. Limited parking, for people with disabilities, may be available beside the mill. Visit, or revisit, this gem of history within the Slippery Rock Gorge, a National Natural Landmark.
