Details:
Join us for an exciting opportunity at Presque Isle State Park, featuring the **Conservation Leaders Camp** for teens aged 13-17. This three-day program focuses on outdoor skills and wild nature exploration, with activities such as fishing, kayaking, archery, fire building, nature journaling, and hiking. Each day's meeting point varies, and pre-registration with payment is required—no walk-ins permitted.
In addition, participants can enhance their outdoor adventures by signing out a **Nature Exploration Backpack** for a day, available from our Camp Host. Choose from four engaging topics: Birds, Insects, Plants/Fungi, or Rocks & Minerals, each equipped with field supplies for hands-on learning.
For fishing enthusiasts, take advantage of our **Rod & Reel: Fishing & Tackle Loaner Program,** providing free fishing rods, reels, and tackle boxes. Gear is available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be returned by 3:00 PM the same day. Note that fishing licenses are required based on age and location, and park staff can offer brief instructions upon request.
Gather your friends and family for a fun-filled outdoor experience at Presque Isle State Park! For registration and more details, please contact the park office at 570.676.3428.
