Teen Time! Mishima Coloring-Page Pottery

Join us for "Teen Time! Mishima Coloring-Page Pottery," a creative six-hour class that introduces teens (ages 13-18) to the intricate art of Mishima pottery, a decorative technique involving the carving of detailed designs into leather-hard clay, filled with contrasting slip or colored clay. The class spans three weeks on July 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In Week 1, students will learn to throw a cylinder on the pottery wheel. In Week 2, they will practice the Mishima technique and create their own coloring book page on their pottery. Finally, in Week 3, participants will complete their Mishima design and add color.
