Intro to MIG Welding

Join our "Intro to MIG Welding" class to learn the fundamentals of MIG welding and familiarize yourself with the essential tools in our Metal Shop. This hands-on course, perfect for individuals with little to no prior experience, covers the use of a MIG welder along with supporting tools such as drill presses, band saws, and angle grinders. Safety practices are emphasized, and participants who successfully complete the class will be officially cleared to use the metalworking facilities at PCMS. The session lasts approximately four hours, with an additional hour recommended for hands-on practice. Attendees should prepare by reviewing the Miller MIG Welding Handbook and must dress in non-synthetic clothing, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring safety gear.
