A new hub for connection, creation, and curiosity is officially here. Join us for the grand opening of our long-awaited Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center at 760 Lakechime Drive! The all-day grand opening celebration will feature a storytime by Mychal Threets, live music from the Sound Project, a maker lab showcase, crafts and giveaways. The new facility is a 20,000+ square foot, single-story, all-electric building designed to serve children, seniors, families and everyone in between. Look forward to comfortable study rooms, dedicated spaces for children and teens, and library programs for all ages. The Maker Lab is equipped with a 3D printer, a laser cutter, sewing machines, a large-format printer, vinyl cutters, jewelry-making supplies and arts-and-crafts supplies for curious creators. The Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center is the result of a community partnership built with the City, the Sunnyvale School District and the Fremont Union High School District.
