Hike Thru History

Along a strenuous 3.75-mile hike, see some of the hidden history of our area. Find quarries, an old pool, charcoal hearths, haul roads, and an old cemetery. Some sections may have steep and rocky terrain, wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water. Allow 3 hours for this hike. Meet at the Old Stone Furnace Stack. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
