In this 3-part series , participants will learn the basics of playing the ukulele, will acquire the ability to read chords, get hands-on experience with the instrument, and learn some rudimentary concepts of music theory. The series will include 3 sessions, and each session will cover the following: Session 1 (8/11) : Chords & how to read them; How to hold & strum the ukulele; Tuning Session 2 (8/18) : Review chords & introduce 3 finger chords; Introduce rhythm patterns. Session 3 (8/25) : Practicing rhythm patterns; putting it altogether; advanced techniques. No musical experience required. Ukuleles will be provided to participants, but you may bring your own if you have one. This series is for Adults. Registration is required. Registration Opens July 28; Registration closes the day before the first session. Limited to 10 seats. Join the waitlist if the registration is filled.
