Free Field Days!

Join PLAY Roanoke for Free Field Days this summer, a series of enjoyable and engaging recreational events designed for youth across the city. Taking place at various parks—Eureka Park on June 22, Belmont Park on June 29, Preston Park on July 6, and Highland Park on July 13—these events promote physical activity, community engagement, and positive youth development. Participants can look forward to structured games, friendly competitions, and family-friendly activities, including inflatables from D&G Wonderland, delicious treats, and food. Field Day activities will feature both structured events and free-play opportunities such as sack races, relay races, basketball games, tug-of-war, jump rope contests, and much more. This initiative is open to elementary and middle school-aged youth, and local youth development summer camps are encouraged to participate. Families and community members are welcome to join in the fun and support the youth!
