Details:
Join us for the opening night of the Broncho Billy Silent Film Festival, featuring the exhilarating 1926 classic, **The Black Pirate**, starring Douglas Fairbanks in one of the greatest swashbuckling adventures of the silent era. This film, celebrated for its stunts, romance, and adventure, will be presented in a brand-new 35mm color restoration, generously loaned from the Museum of Modern Art. The evening will also include short films **It's a Gift** (1923) featuring ‘Snub’ Pollard and **Bride and Gloom** (1921) with Monty Banks, all shown on 16mm prints. Attendees can enjoy piano accompaniment by David Drazin. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and due to limited seating, a Weekend Pass is recommended to guarantee a spot.
The festival is a three-day celebration of classic cinema, including iconic titles like **Dancing Daughters** starring Joan Crawford and the first-ever Best Picture winner, **Wings**, featuring Gary Cooper, Clara Bow, and Charles "Buddy" Rogers. For more details and the complete schedule of films, please visit [Niles Film Museum](www.nilesfilmmuseum.org/). The museum and store are open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
