Details:
If you lived in the Bay Area at the time, you remember what happened. Something you could never forget. It is part of our history.
WE WERE HERE (2011, Weissman Projects) This documentary illuminates the profound personal and community issues raised by the AIDS epidemic as well as the broad political and social upheavals it unleashed back in the early 1980s. This is demonstrated through the intimate recollections of five longtime San Franciscans whose lives were transformed by the epidemic.
Thank you to the filmmakers for sharing their film and our local sponsors Beth Hoffman and Laurie Manuel for supporting the screening.
