Details:
Join us for a Special Sunday Matinee Screening of the documentary WE WERE HERE (2011, Weissman Projects), a poignant exploration of the AIDS epidemic and its impact on the Bay Area during the early 1980s. Through the intimate stories of five longtime San Franciscans, the film highlights the personal and community challenges faced during this tumultuous time in history—a period many locals will never forget. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the filmmakers for sharing their work, and to our local sponsors, Beth Hoffman and Laurie Manuel, for their support.
Admission is FREE, but seating is limited, so please reserve your tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased in our store during open hours or online at www.nilesfilmmuseum.org/. The museum and store are open Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Don't miss this opportunity to reflect on an essential chapter of our history.
