2026 August First Friday: All Star Kickoff

Happy August! Our August First Friday is All Star Kickoff! Visit the downtown area, our local businesses and restaurants, and enjoy the many activities. This First Friday will feature:

Main Street Wadsworth
-Community photo in front of the Grizzly Pride mural at 5:00 p.m., please take part and wear your grizzly spiritwear!
-Grizzly Pride T-Shirt tosses throughout downtown.
-School sports and clubs walk. Various activities will be placed around downtown. Grab a passport and enter to win a prize from the MSW table and learn more about the 60+ activities students can get involved in.
-Visit the downtown pavilion for a dunk tank where people have a chance to dunk local coaches.
-In partnership with WPL learn more about "school spirit" history in their new history room. Historic yearbooks will be available to browse, along with a collection of historical team photos, etc.
-Tricky Dick And The Cover Ups concert in the Pocket Park facing the Downtown Pavilion.

American Legion
-Stop by for their Annual Pig Roast!

The BookShelf
-They are kicking off their back-to-school book sale! All children’s books are just $1.

First Christian Church
-Will be in front of MC Real Estate passing out candy, pinwheel crafts, and back to school fair flyers.

QuickMed Urgent Care
-Quickmed Urgent Care will be in front of the Sub Station with a bean bag toss and prizes.

Trinity UCC
-They will have the 25th Great Big Trinity Yard Sale. Inside the church from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. They will have something for everyone and are handicapped accessible.
