High School Journalism Workshop

The E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University is hosting its annual High School Journalism Workshop, a longstanding program since 1946 designed for high school journalism students and their advisers. This unique workshop allows participants to engage with faculty and professional journalists, enhancing their understanding of journalism practices and innovations. Open to students from rising sophomores to recent graduates, the workshop will take place with a registration fee of $450, which covers food, lodging, and workshop activities. Registration closes on June 19, 2026.

In conjunction with the workshop, Ohio University Transportation & Parking Services announces several parking lot closures due to construction. Key closures include:

- **Parking Lot 40 (Lower Seigfred)** and **Parking Lot 41 (Lower Seigfred)**, both partially closing at 5:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2025, with a planned re-opening at the end of 2026.
- **Parking Lot 44 (Patton Hall)** also partially closing on the same date, with similar re-opening plans.
- **Parking Lot 43 (Putnam Hall)** closing from 7:00 AM on July 8, 2026, for maintenance with a scheduled re-opening on July 21, 2026.
- **Parking Lot 132 (Peden Stadium)** will close partially at 10:00 AM on May 10, 2026, reopening in August 2026.

Vehicles remaining in these lots after the designated closure times may be cited or relocated at the owner's expense.
