Details:
Learn about the patriot spy, Enoch Crosby, in this informative talk by Libby Baker! After a chance encounter, Enoch Crosby impersonated a Loyalist in order to infiltrate and orchestrate their capture. This talk will explore what is known about this mysterious spy. Libby Baker is a member of several lineage societies including the Enoch Crosby Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and has held both state and chapter leadership positions. She became intrigued by its namesake - a brave, humble, shoemaker spy, on seeing his original will, framed and behind glass, on the wall of her chapter meeting house. Enoch led a long and distinguished life and she is privileged to be able to share. This lecture was organized with generous support from the Revolutionary Putnam County 250 Fund, as well as Tim Wallach and Fleur Fairman. Tickets are free, but donations are deeply appreciated.
