The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday June 6th, all our Team Leaders draw a genre (*list below) and are informed of a character, prop, and line of dialogue, all to be included in their movie. During the next 48 hour the filmmaking teams write, shoot, edit, and deliver their 4-7 minute film by Sunday June 8th by 7:30pm. Then all the completed films are shown a week later at the Riverview and the ones eligible compete for over 20 different awards. More info at: www.48hourfilm.com/minneapolis In 2010, nearly 40,000 filmmakers made 3,000 films in in 80 cities on five continents. This year, we're even bigger, with filmmakers around the world taking the challenge to make a film in just 48 hours.
