Details:
Join us this summer for an enriching series of art classes at the Greenville Museum of Art, running from June 11 to September 3, 2026. Our offerings include Continuing Pottery Classes, where students can advance their skills in centering, opening, and pulling while creating functional pieces. This project-driven course is designed for those who have completed the Introduction to Wheel Throwing and incorporates glazing and surface decoration discussions. Each session runs on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with a maximum enrollment of 8 students.
For those interested in drawing and painting, our classes will allow participants to explore various mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, and oils. The small class sizes ensure personalized instruction, suitable for ages 16 and up, and run concurrently on Thursdays. Sessions are led by experienced instructors Kayla Cordy (Session 1) and PJ Jordan-Mayo (Session 2), focusing on nurturing creativity in a collaborative environment.
Costs for both pottery and drawing/painting classes are $100 for Emerge members and $140 for non-members, with a supply fee for pottery materials. Note that all classes will not meet during the week of July 6. Additionally, don’t forget to celebrate the community with the grand opening of Cooper’s Cup in Winterville, NC, and join us at the June Craft Night hosted by Erin Lockamy at the Farmville Public Library. Engage your artistic side this summer!
