Details:
Join us for the Woodworking – Rustic Mini Planter class at Molten Makerspace, where creativity blooms! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to construct a charming rustic mini planter box from pre-cut cedar boards, ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Each participant will fill their planter with soil and a springtime bulb to watch it grow at home.
Throughout the class, beginner-friendly techniques will be covered, including reading construction drawings, assembling kits, and using tools like brad nailers and hand sandpaper. Open to all skill levels aged 10 and up, those under 15 must have a parent or guardian accompany them at no extra charge.
Please come prepared with long pants, closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back, as this project can get dusty. Personal protective equipment will be supplied, and it's important to adhere to the dress code to participate. Cedar's natural properties make it resistant to moisture, ensuring your planter lasts for years, although it will eventually wear out with regular use.
Instructor Tannis Boyajian will guide you through the creative process. Classes are priced at $65 for TAG members (Mentor level and above) and $80 for non-members. Don't miss this chance to bring home a functional piece of art while enjoying a creative experience!
